Chuck's Grinding Mission and History

Our mission is to provide the highest quality precision grinding services to our customers.

After working for decades in the double-disc grinding business, Chuck Reuter opened the doors of Chuck’s Grinding in 1972, with one Besly double disc grinder and a loading dock. As business grew, Chuck brought on other employees, including members of his family.

Although Chuck passed away in 1996, the tradition that began in 1972 has continued to grow and flourish. We at Chuck’s Grinding are proud of our long history of quality work, excellent customer service and innovation.

A new chapter of our history is now being written. As of 12/31/2025, Xylem Company acquired Chuck’s Grinding to continue the tradition of providing high quality grinding services to the medical and non-medical industries. Xylem Company brings a rich history of providing high quality, innovative metals and engineered components to companies since 1962.

Chuck’s Grinding is a privately held small business that is a nationally recognized expert in precision grinding. Decades of experience coupled with our innovative methods mean that we deliver. We are ISO certified.

Our expertise in traditional grinding enables us to deliver high quality tapered grinds, double disc, between centers, centerless and blanchard grinding as well as single and double-sided lapping.
